MXL 860 looks interesting

Just spotted this mic, don't know how long it's been out. Some sort of copy of a Royer I guess. Just wait and see how it's received. I've had a few of their products over the years, they usually performed beyond their price point. Wonder if MJ is already toying with one.

Looking at the product web page, I think that the info about the "capsule" is a typographical error. The rest of the information seems appropriate for a ribbon mic (eg figure-8 pattern, etc).

Okay, got my MXL 860 in the mail yesterday, been messing with it today. So far I like it.

Not a bad price either. Called GC today and their refunding the difference of what I paid and this sale price.
