Issue with Rode Wireless Go

I am really struggling with my Rode Wireless Go. The sound quality is all over the place, and I’m spending hours trying to fix it. If you go to the last minute of the video below, it will give you an indication of how erratic it is... any advice?

Should I get a lavalier mic to help?

As an additional point, we are recording using a Canon PowerShot SX70 HS.

As you discovered, you cannot post a video link. You can post it if you leave off the https:// part and put a space on each side of the "."

Do you have the receiver plugged directly into the Canon's mic jack? The "Go" is the one where there's a built-in mic, right? Where is it located on your talent if you're not using a lav?
