iPad 2 vocal mic?

Any thoughts on a good recording mic for the iPad 2? Planning to use it with Meteor and possibly Auria at a later date. A little put off by the USB to camera extension thing- I've never heard a good USB mic. I understand there is one out there that will plug directly into the iPads power cord slot, but don't recall the name off the top of my head.
