How can 48v phantom power a tube?

Audio Technica made a new mic, the 3060. it is a tube mic without an additional power supply and it claims to run the tube off the 48v phantom power. How can this be possible?

it's not a new concept. microtech gefell has had one for years.

probably it's a lot like the underpowered tubes in many cheap tube boxes that are popular today.
