Hooking up a mic pre

Riche, as always, is right. I know where you're at with wanting real faders ... although in my case that would make the DAW prohibitively expensive unless I go for the control surface route. I don't presently need more than the 4 analogue i/o that I have.

Surely the savings made by the divorce would balance that $35k? Or would the initial fee make that too costly?

Exactly...... mic pre outputs, right to the recorder or soundcard inputs.

So in my case, I would hook up my Pre Amp between my Sub-group output and My Aardvark Pro Q10, right? (Using it on the intended channel.)
