I have just got some Groove Tube mics (1 x GT55 and 2 x GT33's). I have not yey had chance to try them out, but I am a little worried by the self noise specification, as given on the website.
It states 22dB SPL for the 55 and 20dB SPL for the 33 and this seems a little high to me? At the moment it will not make much difference, as the noise floor in my bedroom-studio is quite high anyway, but when I eventually get around to soundproofing a room for recording, will these mics be too noisy to be considered pro?
Anyone used them in a quiet studio situation?
