I have an Audio Technica 4033 Large Condenser mic, it has been working fine up until recently. Without sending a signal through it (just plugged in), i hear a fluctuating static noise - first it will be really quiet, then get louder, then quieter, it's not a constant hiss - it's just staticy. I've tried different mic cables and different channels on my mixer - same thing. This doesn't happen with any of my other mics condensor or dynamic. Phantom power is turned on. Has my mic crapped out? Does anyone know what this is from?
