A cheap mic for a female alto voice?

A pastor wants to buy a cheap microphone just for pluging into her california blond amp and singing playing guitar at the same time. I at first thought of a SM58 or SM58beta. What do you think would be best as far as a cheap mic well suited to a female alto's voice?
