M moresound Loud Sun Studios Dec 22, 2011 #2 As much as I like Avant electronic microphones over CAD microphones the Trion is a multi pattern microphone which has one up on the CK-6. Is price a factor here? For the CK-40 from Avantone is a GREAT microphone -- look HERE. I see them use for around $300.
