Blue yeti usb mic

Hi. My first post on this forum!

I bought a blue yeti usb mic in 2010 on a whim to use with my macbook, but I never explored it really after. Now I mostly use my Zoom H4n by itself.

So compared to using the Zoom internal mic and my mac with the Blue usb mic, which has a better quality? Should I even keep the yeti around anymore?

Both mics appear to have a similar frequency response. The benefit of the Zoom H4n however, is that you are getting a nice little stereo recording out of a single unit, and it has more functionality than the stand alone Blue yeti.

With that said though, perhaps you could try a comparison recording for each mic. Record the same thing on each mic and let your ears decide which one you like better.

Although I have no experience with the Blue Yeti, I have read many user reviews that describe the yeti as being overly bright with high frequencies, but again, let your ears decide if it captures the sounds the way you like them.
