best mics for drum overheads and vocals

What are some of the best mics that work well with overheads, vocals and even acoustic guitars. I looking at starting my own home recording studio. Price wise, somewhere between $100 and $200 per mic.
 
Out of your budget, but Shure KSM-44 would fit your description.

In the $200 range, I'd probably have to say CAD M-179
 
i love my v67g's... they're pretty colorful, but my toms love it. they're built like tanks, and the one has kept going after a very sad event caused by my band's drummer. on that note... if anyone knows how to fix a bent grill on one of these, pm me, your help would be much appreciated.
 
Thanks guys... so any reason not to go with 2 CAD M-179 for about $200? Anything better for the price?
 
if you want two for $200, I'd suggest the Studio Projects B1. You should be able to find a matching pair for (i think) a little less than that.
