AVALON VT737SP Preamp

Well that completely depends on your current setup.. if you have very little or no gear, then no... it makes no sense. Spend the $2000 on something worthwhile. If you're at the stage in "the game" that you're looking at high end pre's then that's a different story.

I've a good setup.
I use Cubase SX,Wavelab 4.0,HaLion,Reason kinda software----with TLM-103,AKG 414 kinda mics-----I use software FX and usually try to minimise the use of external gear. YAMAHA MSP10 are my monitors. I'm planning to add a couple of nice Preamps----
Presonus DigiMax--8Channel Preamp & A/D convertor with a couple of One or two Channel Tube Preamps(Art or Grace) were on my mind. But a friend of mine suggested the Avalon VT737----
