AEA R44C anybody know of a another microphone like this one that is a lot cheaper that produces decent audio quality that I could use for a internet radio station maybe even a usb version??

Well, few people, even rich ones, would waste two grand on a ribbon mic of that quality, and the pre-amp needed to make it work properly. For speech then you can be up and running on a USB version with some accessories for less than $100. If you never need more than one mic USB, for speech can be OK, I guess - but most people would buy an interface of some kind, get proper controls, 48V for condenser mics and one of the popular mics for less than $250? It depends on so many things. Your room has a big impact too. Decent acoustics or not? Tell us your aim - why you picked that mic is a good question. A decent mic stand for it will cost a lot of money as it's really massive and heavy to hold up!

If you have a Samson 01 - that's actually a perfectly good USB mic - you'll struggle to find things that sound drastically 'better', they will sound different, but the Samson is not poor, so the quality threshold gets much, much, smaller. It's quite heavy, like the others that use more solid metalwork - but you never mentioned weight as a problem, and the first one you asked about is heavier still? If you want a lighter, but good sounding USB mic, the choice is very limited, and not that easy in XLR types.
