Ensoniq Asr 10 "Please insert disk" issue

    Hey everyone,

I recently purchased an ensoniq asr-10 off ebay. Package came as described. Booted up, everything turns on. The only issue I'm having is that a message pops up saying "please insert disk". I'm guessing it's the operating system. I have the floppy to do that but when I insert it nothing happens. Wondering if the drive is just toast or if I should get an external drive that will read it. I have the scsi installed. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

Replacement floppy drive maybe?....... ENSONIQ ASR10 ASR88 ASRX ASR SAMPLER REPLACEMENT FLOPPY DISK DRIVE | eBay

I have two synths with floppy drives I was able to replace the drive belts to get them back working, but I was going to use the seller above if the belts weren't the fix. The belt will usually either slip or be broken in old units.

See if there is a "load disc" command that has to be entered.
