"Set neck?" and neck types

What does the term "Set Neck" mean? I know bolt ons are well, bolted on, and Neck-Thrus have the neck connected to the body. What about this type? I've got a Gibson Les Paul Melody Maker, and was wondering if any of you guitar gurus knew what kind of neck it has. Thanks for your input.

thats fancy for ... well ... glued on ... :D

and neck thru means that the central axis of the body = the neck

Simply put... cut to fit in a routed out part of the body then "set" or affixed by glue then finished over so the neck and body appear as a single piece of wood. Why not start another thread on the advantages/disadvantages of the various ways necks are attached?
