I've got a Les Paul Studio that does the following: switch to the bridge pickup and I get a diminshed sound, almost muffled and throaty (it sounds kinda John Lee Hooker actually) Not much of a bother, but it is inconsistant as hell. Does it only every once in a while. I took it to MARS (where I bought it) and two guys checked it out - can't find a damn thing wrong anywhere. They offered to switch out the pickup for free, but I opted to keep it. What's the deal?
