A lesson to be learned.

I don't know where I picked up the strings I had on my Strat, but couldn't figure out why they were harder to press to the fretboard than the strings on another guitar I have. I may have believed a sales clerk when he told me the strings he had, were as good as 'Super Slinkys', or maybe I got a 'deal' at the swap meet, or something like that. I didn't notice at first when they were new because I was probably in a hurry and figured well, they're new. So I put on a new set of 'Super Slinkys' today and it's as if I have a new guitar. I'll have to re-learn how to play all over again. I can't complain too much because I sure built up my fingers on those shitty strings, whatever brand they were. Never accept a substitute when the cluck (clerk) tells you they are the same.

I bought some Elixirs for my SG but the old ones aren't rusting yet so I haven't actually used them yet....
