Just built my own Fuzz effect!

So the A/B box wasn't enough. I had to do something with a circuit.

So I made a Fuzz box.

Not a pedal because I just wanted something is use for recording and practice.
So no fooswitch, but that is fine because I never really cahnnel change in the middle of songs anyways. Never have and don't forsee I ever will. Plus its nice to have something "different" once in a while.

Its battery operated only with the standard power switch being the input jack. The DPDT toggle switch is just for being able to by-pass (true by-pass of course) the fuzz so I can record clean if need be.

So here it is.

Input on the top, output on the bottom, toggle, volume, fuzz.

My recording equipment is in storage :( but maybe one day I will record a sample of it. I don't wanna use my computer mic just becuase it does sound good and I don't want to degrade it to that level.

This is fun. I think the next is going to be a clean booster or a compressor. Maybe a genuine to spec Hendrix Fuzzface. I don't know. But I love it. :D This is so much fun.

Where did you get the "plans" or info and parts you needed to make it?
I've tinkered quite a bit with my tube amps, but haven't delved into making any pedals yet.

Small Bear Electronics has the schematic for this one.

There is a lot of info on the net. That page has links to most of the good ones though.

I haven't ordered from them, so I am not vouching for any purchases made...I am just posting the link cause they have good info and the guy who owns it helped me out with a few questions.

I was trying to make one of those as well a few months back.
Didn't have a job at the time so I didn't have a lot of money to spend.

Ended up buying the wrong circuit board and stuff and couldn't get it to work.
I really need to work on it again. I was trying to get it to fit into a cassette tape case. Would have been cool!

A cassette tape case? Wow.

If you figure out a way then let me know.

One of my next effects after I get better at making everything perfect with zero screw ups is going into a special enclosure.

As you can see the guitar will "tap" in at the top and it will come out to the amp through the lower front portion. ;) :D

Very fitting if I do say so myself.
I have 5 liters of space.

 :D

do you have the schematics for the ab box and the fuzz pedal?

Check post #3.

The A/B is on Fulltone.com

They have a dumbass means of showing how it works. Not the best layout in the world. Took some general logic to make it work since they just give a half assed color dotted pictured.
