Okay, I admit it, I am obsessed with guitars and have built up a decent collection over the years, including the first guitar I ever owned. I've let two go over the years that I regret now. Here is a list of the ones I have now.

1999 Reissue 1957

Paul Reed Smith - Artist Signature

Gibson custom shop Les Paul with 3 single coils
1960 reissue Les Paul
Gibson Lucille

Ibanez Prestige - 2 humuckers
Ibanez Prestige - hum-single-hum configuration

Acoustics:

Martin D25-K (koa wood 1977)
Larrivee L10 6 string

Ovation 12 String
Hagstrom classic (1979)
Silvertone 6 string (my first)

Bass:

The good thing about being a pack rat is that I never sell anything I own:

Japanese Fender Strat copy
Epiphone Basher
Takamine Acoustic
Guild Acoustic
Peavy Foundation Bass

And unless you are going to give me the money to buy real Fenders and Gibsons, don't come whining to me about how I don't have any "real" guitars..

Why?

Why do you need to know?

I mean, why do you even give a fuck?
Well, Because.

I need to know because I have an inquiring mind.

Giving a fuck is as enjoyable as taking one.

Which reminds me, I better give Big Bertha a call.
Lets see,,,, the Bike Chain tavern closes at 2 am. Yeah, I've got time.

let's see...

Fender Am.Std. Tele (it is what it is)
DeArmond something (es335 type) great sound, little money
Takmine Nylon (used to be my moms)
Yamaha LL500 acoustic (a steal of a guitar for around $1100)

Warwick Corvette Std. 4
Warwick Thumb 5 bolt on
Yamaha rbx200 fretless (need to upgrade here, but rarely use fretless anymore)

and...
a Univox jazz box my friend "borrowed" and took to Europe!
Honer electric that I pulled the frets off of! (kinda sounds like a sitar!)

Here's mine,

Alvarez acoustic-1975(my wife's, best playing acoustic ever)
Fender Mex strat-1998(nice, use mostly with synth)
Aria pro mandolin-1980s(broke the neck 2001, was super nice,
main axe for years)
Sigma 5 string banjo-1990s(nice)
Martin HD28-2001(super nice, main axe now, tone to die for)
Michael Kelly Custom mandolin-2001(super nice, best import mandolin I've ever played, very loud yet so sweet)

My Friend has one and he is a really good guitar player and loves it.... Says there are way better guitars out there, but the Casio feels good (his words...)

Maybe after so long, his fingers are just used to it...

That very well could be it - matter of getting used to it. Thats why I eventually tried the Yamaha G10/G10C combo, then the GK-2a. Though he won't let me attach the GK to his Les Paul :)

He's inquiring because we have already acertained your home address, and we want to see if its worth our time to break into your house, take your guitars, tape your cat to the ceiling, and leave pretzal crumbs on the floor.

:)

Maybe he's just curious the group of people that participate in this forum.

I've got a norman accoustic for shows, and a antares beater for me to paint on, as well as a spanish classical for when I finger pick. I have a gibson sonex 180-deluxe as well for when I play electric and I plug it into a peavey musican tube half stack from the seventies.

Hey indie,

That Norman the one from Canada I believe. I think those are the ones that I used to sell at a music store a while back. I was very impressed with them. The high end of course, but they had some great low end models at around $250.00 for an excellent guitar with a solid top.

I used to play takamine g-330's and g-240s a lot, had a washburn - when I have some cash flow again I want to get a danelectro bass or maybe even a danelectro twelve string. Those are really, really nice guitars. Some day maybe I'll be able to get a guild, I like both their accoustic and electric guitars specially the accoustics that have aged a bit (at least from the seventies). I found an accoustic Guild at a pawn shop for like $600 a while back but I was spooked about spending a months salary on a guitar without getting my investment back eventually so plopped down a good $140 for a used takamine g-240 that was smashed by an ex , I guess I made the right choice.

I got my norman as a factory second for about $300, still a nice guitar but they had to fix it when they made it. Show me a guitar thats over $300 dollars and I usually find one just as nice thats just as nice but not so established and below that. Played a $1300 martin and was not impressed, I don't need exotic woods and gold tuning pegs- I'm far more utilitarian about my instruments. Ok if I had $1300 I just might get a Gibson sunbird, I'm so used to low end I just tend to make up for the shitty guitars with a little adaption of my playing anyhow.

wife says guitars or her ..i'll miss her

let's see .... 1 silvertone short scale 2 no name SG copy 3 harmony elec acoustic 4 dean jammer z 5 peavey impact 6 peavey t-40 bass 7 peavey t-60 8 washburn 12 string 9 epiphone elec acoustic 10 gibson 62 es330 11 85 les paul studio custom 12 78 gold top les paul std ......and my newest aquisition a danelectro dbl neck 6 & 12 i've only let go of 3 guitars in my life 1 aria zz deluxe 2 sigma dm5 3 gibson j50 i traded it in on th dano it needed some work .....my 9 yr old has 3 also but i don't count those . before you think i'm some flake, my grandpa left me the peaveys and gibsons and the epi these are my most treasured possesions .....like some one else said i just need a few more an i'll be fine ...really

1 Ibanez JS
and
1 "Busted Fender Scalloped Neck Marinoff Custom Japanese Thing."
It belonged to my drummer who never used it. He lent it to some ass who made a mess of it. Now I own it.

That jerk tried to 'fit' a bridge humbucker in the pick guard by totally ruining it (the pickgard), only to realize that the hole in the body only has room for single coils! The same nit wit took off the tuning pegs and added completely incompatible pegs. So i'm bringing it back to life and have put in the proper pegs. It's a cheapy but has a scalopped neck a la malmsteen.

blah blah blah. i only use the ibanez to date.
