Help with PC Recording Gear choice please

I need to know what sound card/line in to buy to complete my setup.

I have a Carvin CM50 mic (similar to Shure SM57) to mic my amp.
I have a Behringer 8 input mixer with 2 preamp'd mic inputs.
I have a very good laptop (3GHz P4w/HT, 1GB RAM), but the sound card stinks (has a mic in, but no line in).

I'll need a line in to my computer.... I was thinking about getting the Sound Blaster Audigy 2 NX USB sound card: HERE

Some people said the Audigy was great, but suggested I get an M-Audio or Echo line in instead, which I understand. I've found the M-Audio MobilePre: HERE and the Echo Indigo IO: HERE

What would be the best for me out of those? Would you recommend any others instead? How would that Echo Indigo IO really do? It sure is small..... I'm looking to spend about $100 (I can use ebay to reach that goal). Thanks for helping!

You should probably have posted this in the "Computer Recording and Soundcards" forum:

Read the following post here about the Audigy 2NX:
https://homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?s=&threadid=114463

I have a bit of experience with the PCI M-Audio products, and from what I've seen they appear to be very solid products. However, I have not worked with *any* USB soundcards to speak of, so I cannot comment on them. (The only USB soundcard I've worked with was an older SB Audigy that sucked complete @ss!!)

Hope this helps!

Had both

Went with the Soundblaster Audigy for a while. It is a great soundcard period, but not for recording IMO. I have since been using the M-Audio Delta 66 with the Omni IO and have never looked back. The difference between the 2 is not describable. Save yourself some cash and go M-Audio or equivalent.
