Footswitch needed...

I just got a Roland Space echo that has an input for a footswitch for turning the echo on and off, and I think this feature would be pretty useful for me. What I'm wondering is, will any generic footswitch work? I'm not really sure about the technology at all, but I know that my fender twin has one that actuates the reverb and the tremolo.

So, can anyone recommend a sturdy, dependable footswitch, or can I pretty much not go wrong?

Peavey, Marshall, Fender,and Boss all make good ones, from $15-$40. You pretty much can't go wrong, but a real cheap one won't last long. The switch is the important part, and you step on it!
