Is it advisable to use my electric guitar, via a TRS jack -> XLR cable, plugged into the Edirol UA 25EX, so that it takes advantage of the built-in mic preamp?
Would the preamp even get fired-up, given that I'm feeding unbalanced (guitar) signal to it?
Is there anything to gain from this? Most importantly, am I going to break something?
I'm still struggling with home recording basics at amateur level, so please bear with me.
