Hey, I find the factory Fenders well.....Boring, as nice as they are, ide rather build my own from Parts, Anyone know anythink about it? What about necks, im rather fussy, where can i get a "lovley" neck? Ive heard Warmoth are "Ace", Thanks in advance.

i would start simple and find a Saga guitar kit that you can put together, mine was rather nice (i made the strat) the neck was nice the body was good and the pickups are not that bad for the money, if you like you can solder more in later... i paid $130 with mine and i got upgraded tuners thrown in too!

I find Scarlett's neck to be quite "lovely" indeed.

Saga does make some great kits, but right now they are back ordered a few months due to the popularity. Im presently building the Tele kit and had to look high and low on line and on Ebay before finding one that was actually available. Im adding string through body ferrules and and upgraded bridge pickup, I think it'll turn out great. Good luck and hope all works out.

Hey, that sounds good...

Urmm, well im not shure about that Saga kit, i realy dont want a "OK" guitar, i want it to be amazing, I supose as long as all the woods are good, and its not somthink like a 7 piece Body, it will be ok? Ill have to put some "Proper" Pickups + tuners + such on it, But yer im interested, Thanks guys.

Ps. has anyone made 1? anyone got photos on the finished product?

A site called WD looks promising too, they have a cool thing on the website that lets you preview different body styles(tele, strat, P bass), colors(even some great looking curly maple tops), pickguards, and Hardware (chrome, gold, black). It is a cool way to see what hardware & colors compliment each other before you start shopping around.

Since you have your mind made up that your going to buy Warmoth parts, just go ahead and do it already. You don't need us to validate your purchase. Let us know how it works out.

Here's some stuff I found googling the name warmoth:

http://www.tdpri.com/reviewpost/showproduct.php?product=98

sounds like they make some good stuff, but customer service and product support is dismal (and rude to hear some tell it).

Everything I've played from Warmoth has been top notch. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with them. If you're wanting to do it from scratch, the only thing I can tell you is do your research. PG.com and MIMF.com are great resources.
