The beast!!!

I just got a new guitar today and I wanted to share it with you guys. The pics don't do it justice. It's a huge bulky thing and really is a beast to play. It has a huge body, awkward shape, and wicked good looks. So, first thing I'm sure you're thinking is that it's all looks, but sucks to play. Not true...

I can see why your average guitarist would be turned off by this guitar because until you strap one on you won't understand how weird it is to play one. That said...

This monster puts my Gibson to shame. I can think of the 50 + guitars I've owned and the hundreds I've played and this guitar smokes the living crap out of every single one of them.

It feels like it's build like a tank and that you could use it regularly as an actual weapon of combat. The fretboard is so perfect and easy to play, once you find the right position and height to strap it on to you can go insane playing the most rocking riffs you've ever had the courage to dream up.

The set up was so easy I was able to make a few adjustments and I have it tuned to a B with perfect precision. That's right, dropped each string down two-and-a-half steps, so they go: B, E, A, D, F#, B, low to high. This guitar is seriously scary!

I use to have one of those.

I HATED HATED HATED it.

You'll find that those pretty points dig into your legs (when sitting down) real good like.

It is a beast to play. It's dangerous and it jabbed me a few times. I don't really care for the weirdness of it, but man once you get it on right it's freaking awesome to play it.

I know a guy who can do custom paint jobs for me. So, maybe I'll cut some pieces off eventually just to make it nicer to play. It's not bad sitting down you just have to put it between your legs and it's fine :D

All in all you have to be a little sadistic to play one of these. I got it for $400 bucks though which is a little more than half off the original price. I'm telling you it's a super bad ass guitar, but very very crazy as well.

that's one ugly beast to my eyes.

If you like how it plays then have at it man.
I think personally I'd rather get a great playing guitar I didn't have to cut pieces off of.
But that'll be kinda fun in itself.
Be sure to show what remains of it after you start chopping.
:D

I'm not 100% sure I'll cut anything off yet LOL. If I get to the point where I can't stand it I'll have no problem with it. I think any of the NT designs just have this superior solid build. The construction quality makes my Gibson seem a little fragile.

Had it been a more manageable shape which they do have that would of been a bonus. I just couldn't leave it hanging on the store shelve for another 2 or 3 years. It just needed someone willing to play it. :D

Is that some sort of multi-tool?

I think I see a pruner, a can opener, a cutting mattock, and a trench shovel..... what do those six wires do?

I dunno...I like it. :D
It's kinda cute in a gouge your eyes out, impale your forehead kind of way. :)

nice score man. :drunk:
