Anyone familiar with this unit? If so, what do you think of it and what should it be worth used?

I wouldn't pay very much for a used Yam RX17. It's old technology.
Listen to the new Boss 770 before you buy the Yam/used. The 770 is my third drum machine. I just retired, well almost retired, my Alesis SR16. I also have a Yamaha that sits and collects dust because there is no comparison to the sound quality of the newer boxes. Rent one for two months before you shop around to buy one.

I sold one for $100 about 5 years ago...
The cymbals sounded fake....not enough decay time... about 50 dollars would be a good deal... you could add some real cymbals and tamborine etc....and have a pretty convincing drum track....
