Yamaha HS80M review

Hey guys...
I picked up a pair of Yamaha HS80M monitors today. Wow..for the money they are awsome. Very clear crisp highend but without being hyped. The lowend is tight and clear, but in a big room (like what i am in), a sub might be nice...depending on your taste. The mids are where these really shine. Very similar sounding to a NS-10 but not quite as ugly sounding. They seem very easy to mix on, and are really a joy to listen to. With some eq in itunes...they make GREAT hi-fi speakers.

Overall......a GREAT buy!

Congrats, Duo. You'll find an informative and positive review of the new 80s in this month's "Recording" mag (Sept. 06). The smaller 50s + sub didn't fare as well.
