Looking for portable PA setup for my mom

My mom directs and sings with a small chorus. They occasionally go out to nursing homes etc to sing to large groups where there is no stage, mics or pa.

She's looking for something under $400 that she could run 3 mics or so into but is also light enough for her (66 years old) to set up.

I located this: http://www.carvin.com/cgi-bin/Isearch.exe?CFG=2&P2=S400&P1=SYS1

Which is the Carvin Stage Mate. It's 100W and has a built in mixing panel with 4 inputs. It's also rechargable-battery powered which is nice because it means they wouldn't even have to locate AC power or worry about tripping breakers etc. It also only weighs 35 pounds, so she could probably set it up.

Anybody seen/heard this unit? Anybody have any other suggestions for me?
Thanks a bunch

Thanks for all the replies.

I had seen the Fender Passport before, but I must have looked at the 250 because it was too expensive. The 150 seems like a possibility, but still might be a little more than she wants to spend.

As for the JBLs, the only ones that I could find were way over $400.

Has anybody heard the Kustom Profile or KPM480?

They're less expensive than any of the other options and can be had for about $350 and $250 respectively, which would leave money for stands and additional microphones.

Or what about this NADY system:
http://www.americanmusical.com/item.asp?item=NAD+PA1

It's 80W, comes with 2 stands and a mic, all for $299! Considering that stands are about $49 a piece, this seems like a good deal.

Thoughts?

Don't even joke about nady. Nady is the WORST company for audio I have ever come across. NEVER buy ANY of their stuff. And if you do, remember, you get what you pay for! BEHRINGER BEATS NADY ANYTIME ANYWHERE HANDS DOWN!

And of course... because of your VAST experience with all audio gear at all price points and quality levels, we know we can trust your blanket comments on a company's products implicitly...........

Just curious - since you're so obviously "in-the-know" - which is better - a Crane Song Flamingo or an Oram MWS?

Which A/D converter is better - Apogee, or Lucid?

Which console - an SSL SL9000 or an Amek 9098l?

ru sticking up for nady?
That's completely irrelevant, I'm not even talking about Nady or behringer.........

My point is that being pretty green to the audio world, you wouldn't know the difference yet - so how can you make such a blanket statement?

I would absolutely LOVE...

...to see Tyler's facial expression in the not-so-distant future, the first time the realization of how little he actually does know finally hits him..........

I'd reccomend the Carvin Stage Mate. Very handy for light PA use and perfect for your mom's needs. I'm pretty sure it's inspiration was the needs of the Sea World San Diego gounds acts and the weird battery powered PA solutions they'd come up with.
