Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade my 2006 Fostex PM0.4 monitors. My room is only 8 x 8 ft right now. I expect to be in this small room for at least the next 3-4 years so I'm thinking I'm still going to want something relatively small (5" speakers?).
What are your opinions on the HS5's vs the G4 Rokit 5? Seems like everyone says the Yamahas are the flattest for mixing out of all monitors this size. But the KRKs seem to have more clarity in the bass for a lot of people. That's important to me because I've struggled with bass on my Fostex in the past and I'm leaning towards the KRKs for that reason.
Would love to hear your opinions. I have the money to buy bigger speakers too, if there's an argument for that. It just seems like everyone I listened to today said my room is small and would be better suited for speakers of this size. I've been recording for about 13 years though, so I'd like whatever speakers I get to essentially be the last speakers I buy for a long while. Thanks in advance.
