getting ready to purchase m-powered pro-tools, need assistance

im ready to upgrade my lil home recording studio, i bought tha audiophile 2496 soundcard n im ready to get tha m-powered protools software but since my pc only has 256mb imma haveto uprgade to 512mb would this be enough to run tha protools on,cause my pc is juss for recording use and all i really do is load an instrumental and record vocals, very basic stuff, so should i get tha 512mb or do i need to get somthing higher...

You will need more for pro tools, 512 will barely get the job done. Is your PC fairly new, and a pentium4, if not that may add to your problems. You will most likely need a second hard drive to, especially if you do effects processing and multitracking.
