I'm looking for oponions on the Focal CMS65, Mackie HR824, and PMC DB1SA.
I know my ears quite well now, and the equivalent Adam and Genelc models had to up front highs and high mids for me and fatigued me even in the testing room, so i really need the 'British' sound as it were. I've heard the Mackies, and like them a lot (the 624 too) but the low was suspect, perhaps hyped? I've heard larger PMC passives even with cheaper pre amps than the Bryston and they were lovely. Has anyone used any of the monitors listed here, and what were our opinons?
Are the DB1SA smaller than the other 2 also ie. less bass extension?
