Could be my first ever post in this section!

BBC 4 TV last night was Copeland (Police) telling the story of the evolution of drum kit and drumming as it happened in rock and roll.

Now I know JACK about drums and less about the recording of same but what struck me throughout the programme was the generally "un rocklike" sound most of the drums gave. The result of course of less than brilliant acoustics and little time (I guess) to setup for a really good rock sound. Made me realize how clever those studio guys are and how hard they work!

    Dave.
