the sound of air

Recording my bass drum i keep getting an airy sound from it. Idk how to explain it listen to the attachment please. Skip ahead to around 30-35 seconds thats when i start playing. theres nothing in the drum no gate, no EQ. raw track so you can hear what i hear or tell me if im going insane.It's a 24' kick drum. i have an Aqarian super kick 2 on it. two small blankets ( and yes i mean small blankets ) on the inside for a little extra dampening. I'm using a CAD D10 Dynamic large diaphram kick drum mic. Can anyone help me?

sounds like a well recorded drum to me. Some people refer to high frequencies as air. If that is what you are referring to a simple high shelf cut could remove some air.
 
Take a picture of the mic placement and write down the settings so you can get that sound again if you need it.
