Finally!!!

I finally sold my old acoustic drum set and bought the Yamaha DT Xpress electronic kit. Needless to say, I'm a very happy camper right now. :)
No more "mic placement" frustration.
No more disturbing the neighbors.
No more "one dimensional" sound.
It still amazes me how you can get so many realistic drum sounds/kits from e-drums.
I just wish I had this set-up when I recorded my CD. :(
Now I just need an ART Tube preamp and a new set of monitors, and I'm DONE!!!!
(For awhile, anyway)

The V-Drums are quite awesome...
but, not for $3,500!!!

Can you say "waaaay overpriced?"
I can't justify shelling out that kind of cash. Roland makes nice equipment, but everything they offer is too high priced.
I'm probably going to add a Pintech-10" woven head pad for my snare. It costs less than half of what Roland wants and it's American made with a lifetime warranty.
