I finally sold my old acoustic drum set and bought the Yamaha DT Xpress electronic kit. Needless to say, I'm a very happy camper right now.
    No more "mic placement" frustration.
    No more disturbing the neighbors.
    No more "one dimensional" sound.
It still amazes me how you can get so many realistic drum sounds/kits from e-drums.
I just wish I had this set-up when I recorded my CD.
Now I just need an ART Tube preamp and a new set of monitors, and I'm DONE!!!!
    (For awhile, anyway)

    Cool

    The V-Drums are quite awesome...
    but, not for $3,500!!!

    Can you say "waaaay overpriced?"
I can't justify shelling out that kind of cash. Roland makes nice equipment, but everything they offer is too high priced.
I'm probably going to add a Pintech-10" woven head pad for my snare. It costs less than half of what Roland wants and it's American made with a lifetime warranty.
