I have no idea how it sounds. Most of the wine around my parts are done in Oak barrels.

I imagine oak wouldn't be the most resonant of woods. Also, the wood sides are pretty thick in all the wine barrels I have looked at. Hence why if I had something like this, you wouldn't see it moved very often.

It's good. Wine barrels are better to use for aging.
