Drum Machines

Hi All! I am a guitar player, singer/songwriter and have been recording in my home studio for about 5 years. I have an old Tascam 38 analog reel to reel 8 track. Years ago I bought a Boss DR-5, that I used for drums, bass and keyboard sounds on my recordings. I write the patterns on the DR-5 (it's actually kind of a 4 track sequencer), hook them together into a song and then stripe one track of the 8 track using a JL Cooper box. Then the DR-5 plays out through 2 channels on my Yamaha RM800 board for mixdown. I am pretty bored though, with the drum sounds on the DR-5, and would like to get a better drum machine with better true drum sounds, and more importantly, seperate outputs for the different pieces of the kit, especially snare and kick. That way I can mix them seperately through the board. Also, I'd prefer it if I could run it in line (midi-through) with the DR-5. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
