Certainly can't deny that logic.....but I do like the sound of the humbucker that's in there now. I had a thought that I could run shielded wire to connect the trim pot to the volume pot.....but.....run the wire into and out of the back spring cavity so I can mount the trim pot in the back...
So...I have another issue. It turns out that the neck pickup was too loud but the tone is awesome. I lowered the height to flat level with the pickguard and the volume is much better but still a little too high....but the tone is really affected. Long story short.....I want to install a 500k...
Hey RFR......your advice was perfect. You and Papanate both said I wired something backwards....and you guys were right. I took the easiest route first and switched the leads on the middle single coil pickup first and......that was it! Sounds great...the volumes match pretty well. Now I can...
You're probably onto something. The neck Ibanez humbucker is 2 wire and the bridge humbucker is actually 3 wire. Both came from the same Ibanez Gio series guitar. I wasn't sure how to wire them into the strat wire harness.....but I took resistance readings on the 2 wire neck pickup and it was...
Sort of on a whim....I decided I wanted to have an HSH strat. I took a loaded standard SSS Squire strat pickguard and removed all the electronics as one single wired system. I bought a strat HSH pickguard. I left the old strat single coil middle pickup in the wire harness....removed the neck...
I was born into a world where music was mostly played on single speaker AM radios...then slightly better single speaker FM radios....then a stereo record player that was like luggage that had a drop down turntable and swing out speakers with just terrible frequency response. I wore out my...
Well......the ME-80 is fully analog controlled. It does have a digital readout to indicate the volume setting for each pedal (trust me that's handy) and for the integrated guitar tuner. Think of it as many, many Boss effects pedals put into one device with all the same analog components the...
Take a look at the Boss ME-80. Multiple Pedals.....each of which can be adjusted. You can chain "pedals" and they can have the effect you want one each other.

I've heard a few different pairs of NS10's over the years. For what it's worth.....the only monitors I ever thought came close was a pair of Tannoy 501a Reveal speakers. Light on bass and strong clarity and accuracy in the mids and highs. I still have the Tannoy's although they're not my go...
First off......I love the song! And thanks for giving us a listen! You have the instrument tracks sounding good IMO.
To be honest.....I don't think your voice being gravelly is the problem with understanding the lyrics. If we just listed to the vocal track solo my guess is that we'd...
Yeah....mine looks pretty similar to that. How about when you suddenly get a buzz that wasn't there before? You know.....one of those buzzes that just goes away when you twist the right plug or cable. A plug or cable that hasn't moved in months or years but is now maybe not connecting cleanly...
