This morning I received my new Tascam US-1200 to upgrade from my old Mbox 2.
So I spent the afternoon setting it up into my rack unit, installing drivers blah blah blah...
Once I'd got everything hooked up and running, I figured I'd put some vocals on an unfinished session I had to see how the preamps sounded.
However upon playback, after about 10 seconds into the session there began an awful static-type noise as well as the audio jumping back on itself just as a scratched record would.
Upon Soloing various tracks the issue stopped, although with all tracks playing the noise and audio jumping returned.
I opened Itunes and tested a track from there, no playback problem at all.
This has never happened before. I then plugged back in through the Mbox and the session played though fine.
The drivers I installed are the most up to date ones from the Tascam site, and changing the audio latency options didn't seem to fix the problem.
Is this something I can fix or should I contact the store I purchased it from and request a new unit?
