I've actually got two different old Tascam mixers...am M-208 and an M -216... Both with the same problem.
The M-208 seems to work fine however the monitor volume pot was not working. You hand to apply pressure down to make it work however if you let up the sound disappeared.
I finally got the nerve to open it up...found the faulty pot which actually can be opened up as well. I tried dioxit but didn't help. The problem seems to be that the contacts inside somehow stop working so well.
Anybody with similar experiences or with a suggestion on how to fix? I retried to locate this part however no luck at all!
