Tascam 2488 neo monitors

Hi,

Can anyone tell me please if the 2 monitor/stereo outputs (balanced and/or unbalanced) work with passiv speakers as well ? I want to use the unit in the rehersal room with drums, guitar, bass, keyboard... and I am gonna need new speakers.

Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Active ? Passiv (if I need a preamp, what kind) ? how many watts ?

I am looking for something not more then 700-800$

The monitor outputs are not balanced, typical tip sleeve connection. You would need a power amp to push the passive speakers. How many watts depends on your speakers, room and how loud you need to be.

there are actualy 2 outputs: one rca unbalanced and on jack 1/4 balanced.

I was thinking about something between 200 and 300W for the rehersal room, 2 speakers. Do you have any suggestion for activ ones or passiv ones + amp under 700-800$ ?
