Portastudio 414 MKII problem

Track One in my 414 MKII does not receive any input. The other tracks still do. Any idea on where to start troubleshooting the problem?

Have you made sure that it's track 1 and not the Channel 1 input? In other words, have you tried plugging into CH 2 and routed the signal to track 1?

Thank you! It is the Channel 1 input that is bad. I can still record to Track 1 through the guitar input on the back of the machine. Now, how to fix the input...
