I know we've all had the dreaded 'LINE ERROR' freeze on our Tascam products. I've lost whole songs on a DP-02 but never have lost more that to my last save on the DP-24. This morning I was recording the final track on a song I've put about 12 hours into. Plenty of room on the SD card no other problems. Whole thing was frozen. Had to cut power to reboot. All 484 Megs of the song was in there but I got LINE ERROR and another freeze. I copied the song over to my computer, and before I copied it I opened the song and deleted the last file in the chronological listing both on the DP-24 and the copy. I changed the name of the file and copied it back. It stopped about 350 Megs in. To my surprise both the original opened (just missing the take where the error happened) and so did the other with enough of the song there to work from (if need be). I did a quick mix and saved it to .wav on my computer 'just in case'. If this had been covered before I apologize for my redundancy.
