I cannot figure out how to assign one audio card as an input, and one as an out put in Cubase SX 2.0

Could anyone help me please?

You can't use two audio cards. If you have one decent sound card, and use ASIO drivers, there is no need for two cards.

I use two delta 1010lt sound cards for 16 audio inputs , no problem. you would have to read your documentation to find out how to link the cards. depending on the brand, you might not be able to. mine are linked via spdif.

and what if i wanna use One card for Recording,
and another only for MIDI ?
can that work or will it make cubase go crazy

Go into device setup and set up the..ummm... devices. It is in the manual, try reading it.

I think you can use 2 cards with Cubase. He would have to create busses for the 2 cards within the software.

Goto the top menu Devices>VST Connections and create new busses.

I have a separate audio card (Echo Gina/24) and I use the Midex8 to handle Cubase's MIDI data.
