*newbie* Cubase 7: How to monitor effect applied to Audio IN in real-time?

I use Steinberg UR824 with Cubase 7. I setup Audio IN channel for Mic (Mono In) and I can monitor and record from it. On the recorded track I manage to subsequently apply a simple effect (e.d. delay) as an insert. But, is there a way to hear the delay already during recording? When recording over the previous track where the delay was applied I hear the raw un-delayed mic and only when played back I hear the delay.

I am sure this will be an easy one and I really have browsed the forums for existing answer. I think it will relate to the VST channel connections monitor setup, but so far I haven't figured it out and it is driving me crazy.

Many thanks !

Hmm.. If you are monitoring from the Stereo Out from Cubase, then you should be hearing an inserted effect while recording.
