How do i run into cubase from mixer???

Hey,
i am going to try to make a nice studio. I know what i need, but to get into the pc how do i do that? i have seen sound cards with midi inputs and outputs. But can anyone reccomend like a firwire or something to get from mixer to pc?

if your on a budget the old blue 828 mk1 will be great (found on ebay for instance) motu has great mic pre's

my opinion is that it depends on your specific needs, i like the 896HD if you like having 8 mic pre's, i know i do. it really depends on what else you have and what you want to do with it.

Yep the Firepod for right at 600 bucks........has 8 inputs with preamps.
I love it......... easy to use. Read about it........... don't let the deal about coming with Cubase LE get you all excited.....that is the low end of the Cubase software. I use Cubase SX3 ...it can do just about anything.
