Hello, I'm a narrator of stories and poetry but I must be doing something very wrong because when I listen back to my
readings straight off of the cubase format, it sounds great; but, when I convert---and export---those same readings to an mp3 format
it sounds like 20's radio and like I have a lisp. It's terrible. P L E A S E , is there a technique . . . or some adjustment . . . or some
setup that I am missing? Any help and/or suggestions would be so appreciated.

Not sure what you are using to encode or convert from wav to MP3 in Cubase but I use LAME with Reaper and it works wonderfully...also works well with Audacity

LAME is a damn fine encoder for free....least I am sure fine with it....

Can you post the original WAV file in a Dropbox or somewhere we can download it and the MP3? I'm curious.

There's usually a few different options when encoding to MP3. I use Joint Stereo, 256kbps (or 320) VBR, "best" quality, and Normalize ON. Don't know what you have in Cubase but probably something similar.
