Delay between tracks when playback

I'm recording with Cubase SX 2, I have drum tracks exported to regular wav files with no problem, but when I started to record the rest of the instruments they all seem to be late on playback and I have to adjust the "delay" control on the top left of the screen on the track properties. The first day I had to put everything on -164 in order to playback at the right time with the drums, but the next day the amount of compensation differed.
Can anyone tell me why this happens?
I'm using a 2Ghz PC with 256Mb RAM, Win Xp, Delta 1010 and Cubase SX2, obviously monitoring through the soundcard.
