Cubase setup

Hey all,

So, I'm sitting here with my brand spankin' new copy of Cubasis VST 3.0. I'm running XP, with an M-Audio Delta card. Following the instructions of the card and the software, I have levels hitting both the card's internal mixer and the Cubasis mixer. Great, right? I hit record, the time meter starts ticking away. While I play, the meters bounce(nice strong singals). Yet when I hit stop, there's nothing there.

Help!?!?!

Chris

Check a few things- Cubase can be a little tricky at first with record enabling all the tracks. And VST 3.0?! Do you mean VST 5.0? 3.0 must be ancient.

1) Are your tracks record enabled? The "Enabled" button should be lit in the arrange window and at the top of the mixer.

2) Look at the transport: are either of these buttons lit? "_/" and "\_". They are for punching in and out at the markers and can play havoc with your recording if you have them checked and don't know it. My sure they are NOT lit.

That's the best I can do at the moment.

Good luck,
Chris
