Cubase LE Fade Out

I use Cubase LE with an Lexicon Omega. New to it but I'm having great fun.

I have figured out how to fade all the instruments at the end of a song but since I'm using a repeated drum loop, I can't seem to figure out how to fade that. For example:

If I mix down to a wave file, can I load the wave file and apply the fade out to the end of the wave or is there some other way to include the drum loop in the fade?

Thanks

Yes you could fade out a mixed down wave file... but you don't need to...

You don't explain why you can't fade the drum loop... is it midi? If it is you could mix it down to audio then fade it... or is it already audio? I'm guessing it is... maybe you just need to right-click it and make it a new version before fading it...

Hope that helps...

By the way.... I'm looking forward to watching the porno when it comes out... the soundtrack is going to be wicked!

Yes, you'll need to convert it to a wav (audio) file to fade it out. I would suggest not fading out individual instruments separately (unless that sounds better). Instead, mix the song down without the fade, then import it back into Cubase and apply the fade to the stereo mixdown. That way, you aren't altering your original tracks, just the mixdown.

Yup, I always render out to a final .wav file and pull it into an editor and then apply any final mastering, fade-in or out, and then as a final step downsample to 16bit/44.1khz.

I use Soundforge which lets me draw my own fade curves, but any competent stereo editor will do.
