Cubase LE 7 and Tascam 16x08

Hello! I am going to be holding recording sessions with my band, and I am using a Tascam US 16x08 interface on a Mac. However, every time I try to record, I get the error message, "Recording Error: ASIO driver is not running." This interface works on Audacity, but I want to be able to use Cubase. I have no trouble using the built-in microphones in my laptop. Any suggestions?
 
Audacity doesn't use the ASIO driver. Sounds like you may not have it loaded up. Maybe try to reload it. Then select the ASIO driver in Cubase and assign the connections.

Right, you said you're on a mac, that's a little different. I think you don't need to load a driver, but do need to load the settings panel software. Have you done that?

I'm not a mac person, so not too sure what to do. Be sure to check out the troubleshooting section in the manual.
